What battery a Nissan takes

Nearly every Nissan on UAE roads uses a flooded, maintenance-free JIS battery under the bonnet. Newer models with start-stop, such as the latest X-Trail, need an EFB or AGM battery instead. Many recent Nissans also have a current sensor clamped to the negative terminal that tells the alternator how hard to charge, so the terminal must go back on correctly and jump leads should go to the body earth point. The Leaf and Ariya still have an ordinary 12V battery for their electronics, separate from the drive battery.
