No. Small holes in the central tread area can be repaired, and anything in the sidewall or shoulder cannot. A tyre that was driven on while flat is usually ruined inside even if it looks fine.
A plug is a repair to get you moving. For a permanent fix the tyre should come off the rim and get a patch from the inside at a tyre shop, which also lets them inspect the inner wall.
We try a plug repair first. If the tyre cannot be repaired, we arrange a replacement tyre or move the car by flatbed to a tyre shop. Run-flat tyres can be driven a short distance at low speed, as the handbook describes.
About 15 to 30 minutes once we are with the car. Seized wheel nuts or a missing locking-nut key add time, so tell us if you cannot find the key.
