Batteries here rarely make it past three years. A few local habits do most of the damage.
Most Khalifa City homes are villas, so cars sit in driveways and on street edges in full sun. Under the bonnet it gets far hotter than the air outside, and heat is what breaks down the plates inside a battery.
A five minute drive to Raha International or the Khalifa City market takes more out of the battery to start the engine than the alternator puts back. Do that twice a day and the charge drops a little every week.

Most models from about 2008 onwards do. The new battery has to be registered to the car so the charging system knows its age and capacity. Our technician does this on site with a scan tool as part of the fitting.
